Water
Water can be difficult to find in the Sahara Desert. The only permanent river in the desert is Nile River. There are streams and rivers that have fresh water, but they can be contaminated with bacteria. If possible one should carry some bottled water. We can use cactus that stores a lot of water as a source like many animals do in the Sahara. We should carry Water Purification Tablets like iodine and chlorine, which kill bacteria and viruses although they can make the water taste unpleasant. We can take a small portable water filtration system with us to clean dirty water. Lastly, we could boil the water to avoid getting sick.
